The University of Wisconsin-Superior women’s soccer team had a rough showing in their conference home opener last night, losing to UW-River Falls 7-1.

After dropping their home opener to St. Mary’s University, UWS couldn’t come back and win their second game on their newly renovated field.

The Lady ‘Jackets have dropped their first five games of the season by a combined score of 37-1, and scored just their first goal of the season last night.

There is upside however, with both the goal and assist being notched by freshmen.  The goal was scored by Jenna Bartsias, of Duluth, and the assist went to Sarah Johnson of Cloquet, MN.

UWS looks to rebound in the next few games, as they play their third game of a five game home stand on Saturday, September 19th against UW-LaCrosse.
