WINTERFEST: CANCELLED!

This year’s Winterfest will be cancelled due to the recent state budget cuts.
In the past Winterfest was a way for the community and students to come together and raise money for a good cause. Although it was a free event, last year it raised $700 along with food donations for the Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank.
This “Winterfest lapse” hopefully only stands for this December, but nothing is certain with all of the budget changes in the University of Wisconsin System. In spite of the absence of Winterfest, student organizations are still encouraged to participate.
Organizations are being asked to bring their ideas to the Winterfest Planning Committee next week, Wednesday November 9 at 3:00 P.M. in YU 153.
