The annual Homegrown Music Festival in the Twin Ports has a special place reserved for University of Wisconsin – Superior.
Thanks to the organizing efforts of student Jeredt Runions, there will be a show of the work of several UW-Superior artists at Pizza Luce under the title of “Paintbrush Thinkers."
“Being new to the community, it's exciting to be part of it,” said Lauren Callis, one of the two dozen artists showing there.
Norah Springer, another of the artists, agrees.
“It feels really good to be involved in something off-campus, something more out in the community.”
The show starts Sun., May 1, with an opening reception from 7 to 9 p.m., and goes through May 20th, at Pizza Luce, 11 East Superior Street in Duluth.
