Students remember 9/11

Sunday, September 11th is the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. We asked UWS students where they were when 9/11 happened and what they remember about the events.

"I was in sixth grade. We were jus about to start math class, and the teacher across the hall darted into our classroom and told us to turn to channel six, something big was happening! We turned on the TV just as the first tower was being hit. I looked aorund and no one really knew what was happening. We all thought it was a movie or something. Our teacher explained to us that it was real. They let us go home."
