Students go "green" in daily lives

Forty years ago, April 22, was deemed Earth Day.  So as we celebrate this day and week by being more eco-friendly and sustainable, we ask our fellow University of Wisconsin - Superior students what they do in their daily lives to be “green!”

Orion Jackson, a junior theater major, turns off lights when he leaves rooms, recycles and doesn’t drive his car anywhere.

Joey Cowley, who is a junior and majoring in communications, saves electricity by turning off lights, tries his best not to litter and recycles.

Carleigh Copeland, a sophomore majoring in elementary education, recycles, uses eco-friendly reusable bags when shopping and turns of lights.

Orrin Botten, a sophomore, who is studying mathematics education, also tries not to litter, recycles, turns lights off and doesn’t let the water run while brushing his teeth!
