In a year where Yellowjacket basketball fans have seen three University of Wisconsin - Superior men’s basketball players eclipse the 1,000-point mark, they now are looking to make a run in the WIAC tournament.
A 70-63 loss to Conference Champion UW-Whitewater on Saturday puts the ‘Jackets at 14-11 overall and 7-9 in the WIAC, giving them the 6th and final seed in the tournament.
They will travel to UW-LaCrosse Tuesday night to take on the Eagles, who got the 3rd seed.
UWS split with LaCrosse in the regular season. If they win, they would play on Thursday night against the #2 seed UW-Stevens Point, who got a first round bye.
