Men’s Basketball Home Tournament
The Yellowjacket Men’s Basketball team hosts Finlandia, Lake Superior State, and Madison-Edgewood in the 2011 Merrill Thompson Tip-Off Classic this Friday and Saturday.

Tournament Schedule

• Fri. Nov. 18: Madison-Edgewood vs. Lake Superior State, 6 p.m.
  
• Fri. Nov. 18: UW-Superior vs. Finlandia University, 8 p.m.
  

The two losing teams from Friday night’s games will face off in the Consolation Final at 1 p.m. Sat. Nov. 19. The two winning teams from Friday night will go at it in the Championship game at 3 p.m. following the conclusion of the Consolation game.

Former UWS standout soccer player Jon Bell was named to the WIAC All-Time Centennial team this past week.

Both the Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams won their first regular season game Wednesday, as they both beat Northland College in Ashland.

The Men’s and Women’s Cross Country teams wrapped up their season Saturday at the NCAA Midwest Regional Meet in Rock Island, Illinois, where most of the runners ran their personal best times.
