The Executive Cabinet of the Student Government Association is finally being filled in. Jeff Anderson, currently vice-director of SUFAC, has been nominated to the position of SGA Vice President. Voting on his nomination was tabled, however, due to several senators being unable to attend. The position of Communications Director has been filled by Savanna Pearson. Her nomination was approved despite the absence of the senators because of the need to have timely and accurate minutes produced for the records.

Chancellor Wachter reported on her latest trip to Madison, stating that she really had nothing to report on the final figures for the budget lapse. She said that the situation is still very fluid, and that there probably would not be final figures on the size of the lapse until after the first of the year.

And last but not least, the question of the school's Alma Mater was raised. Joel Sipress appeared before the SGA to ask that it endorse a resolution from the Faculty Senate Committee that a search for a new song be started immediately. Everyone is encouraged to submit an entry. It is hoped that a new Alma Mater will be ready for Chancellor Wachter's official inauguration in April, when the Board of Regents will be meeting on campus.
