The "Outstanding Student Organization of the Year" award was presented to QASU at Monday's Student Government Association meeting.

"QASU has done a fantastic job of being open and available to all students," said Mickey Fitch of Res Life.

Eric Williams, accepting the award, thanked everybody who helped get the organization off the ground.

In other agenda items, SUFAC constitutional amendments were passed, making it possible for groups to request up to $5,000 in emergency funding. A second amendment passed, putting in place a process for auditing student organizations to make sure that funds are being used appropriately.

Monday's SGA meeting was the last regular meeting of the year. The next meeting will be a transition meeting, to hand the gavel to incoming President Chang and Vice President Borra.
