March is women's history month, so we set out to ask students, "Who is your favorite woman?"

Signe Johnson, Sophomore

Picture
“Audrey Hepburn. She survived WWII by going into hiding, and overcame her struggles to become an actress.”

Mary Grew, Freshman

Picture
“I would have to say Anne Frank. She overcame a lot of difficult things, and for such a young girl she managed to do a lot more than most people.”

Victor Regas, Junior

Picture
“I can’t remember what her name was, but her family sheltered Jews during WWII and helped smuggle them out of the country. She also rode her bike around town and gathered groceries to feed everyone. She acted in the face of fear.”

Katie Thill, Sophomore

Picture
“Lindsey Vonn, because she’s an Olympian!”

Seth Tolene, Freshman

Picture
“Ellen DeGeneres; she inspires people to be themselves.”
