Letter to the editor: Smoking rules need to be enforced

I agree with Tony Abbott completely. No one has the right to take away choice from anyone. However, I hate having to walk through a cloud of smoke on my way to class and when I walk into buildings. I would truly appreciate these smoking stations being moved into less trafficked areas of campus. Particularly the smoking station by Erlanson.

People also tend to smoke on their way to class, not stopping at smoking stations. When I walk to class I often have to follow someone who is smoking and have no choice but to breathe in second hand smoke.

The rules regarding smoking at smoking stations need to be enforced.

Also, I see cigarette butts all around campus and the dorms. They are unsightly and I believe that they reflect poorly on our University.

I hope our new student government would take these things into consideration when adopting new policies regarding smoking.
