He has been on campus for 23 years, has a Beta fish in his office, and is possibly the tallest male that works at UWS. He is Glenn Carlson, Department Chair of the Health and Human Performance department. Let's get to know Glenn Carlson.

Where did you go to college?
Monmouth College in Monmouth, IL- the birthplace of Wyatt Earp, known for his role in the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral.

What was your favorite class in college?
I have a Geology major, and my favorite professor taught Geology. His Geology classes were my favorite, and he took us on a few field trips.

Did you play sports in high school or college?
I played basketball.

What is your favorite thing about being a Health and Human Performance instructor?
I like to play and have fun, and I enjoy the students.

Do you have any big plans for Spring Break
No, but sometime I would really like to camp out at the Boundary Waters this time of year. I have never camped out on the ice.

Do you have any pets?
I have a Beta fish named Kiyama in my office that my students gave me last year.

Do you have a favorite fruit?
I have two favorite fruits right now:  bananas and pears.

What advice would you give a stranger?
You're not a victim. You get the same 24/7 that everyone else does. Get with the program. You get to make choices and decisions every day.
