This is your last chance to see the UWS Student Art Show at the UWS Kruk Gallery, as it closes on Friday. The exhibit is filled with paintings, drawings, textiles and more. David Jensen, a UWS student, entered some of his photography into the show.
“This is my first show in the Kruk [Gallery],” said Jensen. “I'm looking into having a shared exhibit in Duluth in the near future.” A digital cinema major with a photography minor, Jensen has an interest in making his own films, and a love for photography. He was at the exhibit reception on December 7.
“I thought it would be a great opportunity to meet with other artists to talk about their work,” he said. The show sports a massive spider web made of fabric and twigs, along with ceramic pottery and broken glass sculptures. There are brightly colored face masks beside beautiful photos. If you get a chance to drop in, the Kruk Gallery is in the Holden Fine Arts building and is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
