Stinger Media wanted to know what you thought of the election results. Here's what a few University of Wisconsin - Superior students had to say.
Monte Stewart
Sophomore Mass Communications major
"I'm mad that Feingold didn't win!"
Bart Sonnenberg
Senior Speech Communication major
"I don't like it. I'm concerned that some of our newer state laws might be reversed."
Jay Bowers
Junior Community Health Promotion major
"I'm highly upset that Wisconsin turned Republican".
Brandt Devich
Junior Psychology major
"In California, Prop 19 should have passed, not because I smoke, but because it is a legitimate source of tax revenue for not just California, but also the entire country. It would free up numerous police resources, and get non-violent criminal offenders back in to a regular life instead of being imprisoned, wasting multitudes of tax dollars. Legalization of marijuana would produce a lot of additional money for the government to use on other beneficial things, such as education."
Ben Holmquist
Sophomore Theatre Arts major
"I didn't vote for any of the Republicans, and they all won! This is against everything that happened two years ago, it makes so sense."
Leah Gustafson
Junior Elementary Education major
"I voted because Carlton schools were going to close if they didn't raise the taxes. It got approved so they're staying open!"
John Peterson
Senior Psychology and Secondary Education major
"I voted because Roger Reinert, my old teacher at Lake Superior College, was up for senate. He won!"
Emily Shroeder
Sophomore Biology major
"I'm shocked that Oberstar lost. I wonder what this means for the Iron Range."
