As another semester gets into the swing of things, there have been some changes around campus, including the dorm life. Every semester, the dorm population tends to fluctuate.
The number change in the dorms as stated by Residence Life Director Ryan Kreuser is as follows: 22 students moved out, 13 withdrew, seven graduated, seven are studying abroad and 27 transferred. He also stated that 45 new students moved into the residence halls.
To go along with all of the changes in the dorm community, 60 other students have switched rooms.
According to Residence Life Associate Melinda Yingling, the dorm population from this semester is higher than spring semesters of previous years. However, the numbers of students that left or transferred are generally similar to previous years.
She also noted that there are usually less people living on campus spring semester compared to fall semester.
After all was said and done, the residence hall population has shrunk by 31 people.
