Coach Lynne Deadrick reached her 100th win as UWS’s head volleyball coach on Saturday, October 24 when the Yellowjackets’ match against the UW-Stevens Point Pointers ended 3-0.
“It was a very exciting win,” said Samantha Blake, senior defensive specialist. “I was happy to be on the team that gave coach her 100th win.”
Deadrick is the second all-time winningest coach in Superior volleyball history and is only 5 games from being the winningest coach in history.
Deadrick has been coaching at UWS for seven years and has worked hard to build up the team to compete in one of the arguably hardest division three conferences in the nation. In addition to being a coach, she is also the assistant athletic director.
She has over fifteen years of coaching experience. Before her career at UWS, Deadrick coached for twelve years at Minnesota Vermilion Community College, where she played her first year of volleyball as a student as well.
