Musician Chad Brown has created an album after serving in Iraq.
At 12 years old Chad Brown began a life of poetry. Years later he now has a large collection of his writings and makes music with them. The genre is a hybrid of rap, hip hop, lyrical and his own mixed style.

You can catch a glimpse of C-Silence performing in the local scene. He can been seen at Bev’s Jook Joint in Superior on Wednesdays and some weekends. Last Saturday he performed at the Orpheum in Duluth, MN.

Chad moved to Superior last spring after serving two years as a Sergeant in the Army in Iraq. While in the Army, he formulated his first music CD entitled ‘It just don’t stop!!!’

The album has 12 songs and was finished for release this year. He went through a company called Disk Makers who helped him with the professional mastering and album artwork. He currently sells the CDs for $5 each.

He is presently working on the next album and is working little by little to obtain all the equipment he wants and needs to do the kind of professional shows he craves.

Right now Chad is self managing and promoting but is working on getting a team together. He plans to start touring next year through Wisconsin and Minnesota and says he would like to perform for students at UW-Superior sometime this fall.

You can expect to witness this musical artist as one who has quickly moved on from the baby steps of the music scene to the thunder before the storm. His passion is high as he says, “I’m not scared to put my true emotions out there.” He wants to be able to relate to people through his music and prides on having his original style.

“Some people enjoy music and some are born to make it. Me, I have a fire that burns in my chest when it comes to making music and performing.”

A WITC student who already has an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration is hoping to transfer to UWS soon. Chad’s wife, Sarah Brown attends UWS and is in the Accounting program. Together they have one son and another on the way.
