Andrea McKay was selected as Athlete of the Week by voters this week. She plays defense and midfielder for the University of Wisconsin - Superior women's soccer team.

"It feels good. Nice to be regonized for my hard work," said McKay

McKay is from Proctor, Minn. and decided to come to UW-Superior for the proximity to her hometown and the cheap tutition. When she is not found on the soccer field she can be found playing basketball or hitting the slopes snow boarding. The athlete mentioned jokingly, "I don't have any other interests, sports are pretty much my life."

McKay is working toward her exercise science degree and one day hopes to be an athletic trainer. She hopes to help the soccer team in their next game on Saturday against UW-Oshkosh here at UW-Superior.
