Lucy Roberts Editor in Chief Salutations, fellow students! The Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness in Superior (GEARS) program is looking for mentors for next semester. Check out the specifics on the Academic Service Learning webpage; the deadline for applications is today, so get yours in if you're interested! If you're free during the seven o'clock hour, there are a few different things you could do to keep yourself occupied: -Try out for the children's play! Auditions for "Jack and the Beanstalk" are tonight starting at 7 p.m. in Manion Theatre in the Holden Fine Arts Center. -Not the acting type? You can learn how to wax your skis or snowboard with SOAP from 7 until 9 p.m. in the MWC room 1438. The SOAP staff is more than happy to answer any questions you might have about winter sports and help you get your gear together. -Not the skiing/snowboarding type? The UW-Superior Guitar Ensemble is performing at 7:30 p.m. in Webb Recital Hall in the Holden Fine Arts Center. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for seniors and students. There; plenty of stuff to aid you in the procrastination of your final paper. Have a great day!
