The Daily Buzz 09/30/2010
Nikky Farmakes Managing Editor Wow! What a spectacularly crazy week. If you’ve been buried under readings, papers, and projects, trust me. I feel your pain. Hopefully this Daily Buzz will help you find some time to enjoy the good things in life. However, I warn you this isn’t exactly on-campus, but it is Superior related. This Friday is Superior High School’s Homecoming for Football. Since UWS doesn’t have a football team, it is nice that the High school still plays. It shows a nice bit of Superior Pride to go out and support the team. The Spartans will take on D.C. Everest. The football game is held at Ole Haugsrud field on campus and starts at 7:00pm. Also, this Saturday, October 2, the First nations Center is holding its annual “Fall Walk Around.” The “walk around” happens at Pattison State Park, just outside of Superior. It’s a great chance to take in the fall colors and meet people from diverse backgrounds, not to mention get to eat some good chili and cornbread. The event is free to those going to the walk-around and the event will begin at 11am. Thanks for checking today’s Buzz and don’t forget to keep checking back!
