Lucy Roberts Editor in Chief Well, this is going to be short and sweet. Jacket Book and Supply is having their Holiday Sale this week and next, so if you or a loved one is running short on Yellowjacket memorabilia it's the place to be! Not to mention you'd be supporting your school. If you're really aching to take that one class that is only offered in the fall semester, or you somehow forgot to enroll for the past eighteen weeks, there's still a chance! For a limited (very limited) time you can still enroll for only TWENTY DOLLARS! Look at it this way: you can enroll, take an immediate incomplete, and STILL only pay TWENTY DOLLARS for the class! (Tuition and fees not included.) I hope everyone is enjoying their final papers, projects and cram sessions! There's a light at the end of the tunnel; run for it! Kirsten Scheid Managing Editor It's Thursday! Yay! (I have no idea why I said that, but there you go.) First Year Expo! 11:30 to 12:50 in the YU Atrium. There's cake! But I hear there's other stuff, too. Check it out! UW Superior Music department is presenting the Symphonic Band and Chamber Wind Ensemble at 7:30 in Thorpe Langley. A special guest will be Cindy Bolandi, an internationally known bassoon player from Costa Rica, performing a world premiere of “Canto Whitman.” Pamela Bowen Bustos will be conducting. Tickets $5 adults, $3 students and seniors. A pretty big deal. It would behoove you to be there. YAC will be showing Final Destination 5 in the Great Room, YU, 8 pm. Free popcorn. So, a couple things to do if you need to get out and away from the books. Probably won't hurt too much. Have a great day, and do a little something nice, okay? The Daily Buzz 12/07/2011
Lucy Roberts Editor in Chief Time keeps flying, doesn't it? It'll be Friday before we know it...and then it'll be Monday all over again. Let's focus on the now, shall we? First off, congratulations to the Mock Trial team for their 8th place finish at the Macalaster College Invitational Tournament this past weekend! The team did very well and brought home some more awards for their walls. Keep up the great work! If you've got some awesome UW-Superior photos, you can send them in to Student Involvement. They're looking for photos for the Spring 2012 Involvement Calendar. You know you want to! The 2011 Alumni Danube River Cruise starts today. That's actually pretty irrelevant, since the Danube is in Germany. Which is in Europe, for those who haven't taken Geography 100. On a more local note the women's basketball team plays UW-Stout tonight at 7 in the Mortorelli gym. Be there! Have a great one! The Daily Buzz 12/06/2011

Auditions start at 6 p.m. in Manion Theater, Holden Fine Arts. And last, but certainly not least, the Celebration of the Season Concert will be held at Cathedral of Christ the King at 7:30 p.m. Everybody is saying that this will be an amazing concert. Tickets are $10 for adults, and $8 for seniors and students. Have a great day, and be excellent to each other. The Daily Buzz 12/05/2011

Lucy Roberts Editor in Chief Hello there! Glad to see everyone made it through another week. Let's see what's going on this weekend. E-Hive and PeopleSoft will be down for maintenance today starting at 1 p.m. Plan accordingly. There are two hockey games this weekend: one on Friday and one on Saturday. Both games feature the men's hockey team going stick-to-stick with UW-River Falls. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. on both nights at Wessman Arena. The University choirs are holding their annual Celebration of the Season concert on Sunday at 4 p.m. and again on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. The performances take place at the Cathedral of Christ the King in Superior at the corner of Grand and Belknap. This is one you definitely don't want to miss out on! Here's a tip to save your sanity as you prepare for finals: take a break this weekend and go to Bentleyville to look at the lights and get some hot chocolate. You'll feel a ton better, and you'll do better on your exams, papers and what-have-you. Have a good one! The Daily Buzz 12/01/2011
